Currently undergoing an exciting expansion, MaRS Culture is seeking a full-time Lead FF&E Procurement Designer. This role will focus on curating furniture, art, and styling for both large and small-scale projects, as well as procurement and installation management. As the Lead on furniture, fixtures, art and accessories, and equipment (FF&E), this role will be responsible for the facilitation process of budgeting, sourcing, specifying, procuring, delivering, and installing furniture, fixtures, art, accessories, and/or equipment for the exciting MaRS Culture residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

MaRS Culture seeks a tastemaker with strong connections and sources in curating unique furniture, objects, and accessories. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a keen eye for design, capable of crafting cohesive looks across diverse project types and scales, from individual rooms to expansive hotels. Essential qualifications include managing multiple projects concurrently, and expertise in the entire furniture procurement process from selection and presentation, to budgeting, procurement, installation, and coordination of furnishing, art, and accessories. The Lead FF&E Procurement Designer should possess extensive industry connections and continuously pursue distinctive, cost-effective opportunities that elevate the MaRS Culture brand. MaRS Culture seeks a confident, self-motivated individual with a positive demeanor to collaborate closely with the design team. Candidates should have a minimum of five years professional experience with a focus on FF&E selections, procurement, client management, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This full-time position will be in-person at the Houston MaRS Culture Studio, with periodic local and domestic travel. MaRS Culture offers a competitive compensation package. Qualifications

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all FF&E budgeting, sourcing, specifications, procurement, delivery, and installations for multiple concurrent projects.
• Lead and manage the full procurement accounts payable process (budgeting, selecting, ordering, purchasing, invoicing, tracking, and record keeping).
• Lead, manage, and use FF&E specification and purchasing software and tools.
• Lead weekly internal meetings with the MaRS Culture Design Team to maintain communication, tracking, and on-budget project completion.
• Manage workload assignments from multiple colleagues on multiple concurrent projects.
• Assist the MaRS Culture Project Team with sourcing, selection, coordination, and documentation of all FF&E.
• Assist with the curation and maintenance of the MaRS Culture materials and resources library.
• Facilitate on-site presentations from vendor/supplier/manufacturer representatives.
• Develop documents for new FF&E projects (Request for Proposals, Vendor Bid Packages, and/or Custom Designs).
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with Clients and industry partners.

Qualification Requirements:
• 4-year college-level degree required (Interior Design, Architecture, or related field).
• Relevant full-time work experience (five years minimum) with interior hospitality, multifamily, corporate interior, and/or food and beverage.
• Proficiency with: Adobe Creative Cloud and with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Notes, and PowerPoint).
• Must be able to travel by car, train/rail, and/or air for all local and domestic FF&E installations.
• Must have strong skill sets: interpersonal communication, time management, organization, critical thinking, and problem solving.
• Must be team-oriented, articulate, flexible, productive, and have attention to detail.
• Must be willing to learn, meet deadlines, and take initiative.

Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):
• Interior Design License.
• Experience with: InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, DesignSpec, Revit, 3D Rendering, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, hand sketching, and/or Zoom for Business Plus.
